ROTH TSP, and TSP in general

Have you looked at your TSP lately?

You need to pay attention to your TSP account.

First, go here to log in:

https://www.tsp.gov/tsp/login.shtml

If you've never logged in before, now is the time to get your login established and mailed to you.

Once in, you can check your investments and where your money is going. One of the new features is ROTH TSP.

Basically, you can now choose to have TSP be either pre-tax or post-tax. There are a myriad of things to consider, but a good basic comparison calculator is here:

Only downside is that whatever is in your TSP now cannot be converted to ROTH TSP.
