can be found here:

I've updated my own book list here:

Suggestions are welcome!

  1. Sir,

I'd like to offer my suggestions of Starship Troopers (Timeless classic, it examines morality and obligation to society through the lens of Science Fiction) and The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors, while I know you deplore the amount of WW2 on the official reading lists, this one is simply too good to pass up.

Additionally, I'd be remiss if I failed to mention Sebastian Junger's War, the book accompaniment to Restrepo. It's difficult to write a short summary of what the book is about, but I cannot recommend it highly enough, and it pertains to the War in Afghanistan so while not directly applicable to a large part of the Navy, it does concern our generation of fighting men and women.
