Operational Pause till 1 May

I've unfortunately had quite a few things happen over the past few days that have made me rethink my position, career and line of work.  It's not been one thing per say, but a combination of things.  When your core gets shaken, sometimes you need to take a break and figure out what is important to you, and what your next trajectory is going to be.

So, I'm going to take a bit of a break while I figure stuff out.  I'll be back to regular blogging on 1 May.  You're always welcome to email though, and I'll still repost interesting things on the Facebook page.  I'll even still be at the Data Dilemma MMOWGLI game.  Be sure to come back in May though, and read through my older posts while I take my operational pause!

  1. This happens at least once in every Navy career. Take a breath, step back, think about it, get some good advice and then commit to a course of action. Consider which decisions limit your choices in the future. If you do leave active duty, give STRONG consideration to the Navy Reserve. What about the Shipmates you leave behind. Family first....and then.
