Your opinion...seen by all

In standard Military Times fashion, we have a typical military-hater story:

The lesson learned here though isn't that people get what they deserve, rather, it's that things that once were private or stayed in a relatively small area (like a small town in Alaska) become big issues quickly.

Sadly, our connectedness via the internet has made it seemingly impossible to keep our opinions to ourself. While it makes it easy to share ideas, it also makes it easy to shoot down ideas.

Increasingly, I find more people that want to talk about something on the phone or in private, but refuse to conduct business over email, due to the simple fact that email can quickly get forwarded to other people. If we allow the loudest opinions to always win, we may lose out to sound bites in the future instead of proper thought.
