RMKS/1. THIS NAVADMIN ANNOUNCES THE EXTENSION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE 75 DAY LEAVE CARRY-OVER POLICY. IN ACCORDANCE WITH REF A, THE 75 DAY LEAVE CARRYOVER HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH 30 SEPTEMBER 2015. THIS LEAVE CARRYOVER AUTHORIZATION WILL CEASE ON 30 SEPTEMBER 2015 AND LEAVE CARRYOVER WILL BE RESET TO 60 DAYS. ANY LEAVE BALANCE IN EXCESS OF 60 DAYS ON 30 SEPTEMBER 2015 WILL BE LOST UNLESS SUBJECT TO SPECIAL LEAVE ACCRUAL DESCRIBED IN PARAGRAPH 2. 2. THE POLICY FOR SPECIAL LEAVE ACCRUAL FOR SERVICE MEMBERS ASSIGNED TO HOSTILE FIRE OR IMMINENT DANGER AREAS AND CERTAIN DEPLOYABLE SHIPS, MOBILE UNITS, OR SIMILAR UNITS REMAINS UNCHANGED. SPECIAL LEAVE ACCRUAL GUIDANCE FOR THESE SITUATIONS MAY BE FOUND IN REF C. 3. FURTHER EXTENSIONS OF THE 75 DAY LEAVE CARRY OVER AUTHORITY ARE NOT EXPECTED. MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WORK WITH THEIR COMMANDS TO MANAGE THEIR LEAVE BALANCES ACCORDINGLY. EMPHASIS SHALL BE PLACED ON GRANTING LEAVE UPON PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION (PCS), AFTER PERIODS OF DEPLOYMENT, DURING TRADITIONAL NATIONAL HOLIDAY PERIODS, UPON REENLISTMENT, ETC., WHEN OPERATIONAL COMMITMENTS ALLOW. 4.
